After I was diagnosed with cancer in 2021, I noticed that music helped me while getting cancer treatment. I spent 3 months in the Hospital far from my home. In 2022, I launched Inspir3 Radio and Inspir3 Radio Magazine as a creative outlet to inspire people fighting cancer and celebrate survivors.
I wanted to give unsigned artists and models a platform to shine. A lot of great magazines don’t offer print or are out of business, like King Magazine, XXL Magazine, The Source Magazine, and Black Men Magazine. Unlike those legacy magazine we are new and would not have access to a lot of advertisers. I
Instead of going to a printing company, I use a print-on-demand platform, Magcloud, and offer digital magazines on Magzter, Magcloud, Mag Forest, and Amazon Kindle. The iPad became better after Steve Jobs released it on January 27, 2010. Adobe released a digital publishing platform at Adobe Max on Oct 26, 2010. That was a game changer for magazine publishers. We can make interactive magazines with videos, hyperlinks, audio, buttons, and more.
We have interactive digital magazine on Magzter, Magcloud, and Amazon Kindle. We are celebrating 4 years of Inspir3 Radio.
Inspir3 Radio is an authentic voice of the Hip-Hop community. Inspir3 Radio Magazine is a newer platform created for Hip-Hop fans. It features artists, emerging artists, models, album/single reviews, tattoo culture, and more. Furthermore, it focuses on future stars and not just celebrities. It is grassroots and for the people.
Inspir3 Radio is inspired by The Source, which was started as a Hip-Hop newsletter by David Mays in 1988. It is the longest-running Hip-Hop publication. XXL was launched in 1997 by Town Square Media. Both magazines introduced Lil Kim, No-Limit, Bow Wow, etc.
